St. Maarten is a great dive destination. The outlying wreck and reef sites offer fantastic dives and excellent photo opportunities. Waters are warm and inviting, and the marine life is abundant. Moray eels, turtle and southern stingray are common sightings – and frog fish and jaw fish are a treat to find.

The sites on the Dutch side of St Martin are completely different to the dive sites on the French side of the island. There are more wrecks on the Dutch side of the island and the reefs have a higher density of barrel sponges.

We went to a cargo ship wreck, saw a lof of schools of fishes, turtles and reef sharks. Someone allegedly spotted a nurse shark too. It was a great spot you go down to 18-22 meters. Michel, the dive leader was informative and fun.
